HERE'S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME ~
I'm Nandini Sharma.
you can call me Ness.
I'm an artist, illustrator, and a lover of warm things.
I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, but my journey began around the age of 6, inspired by watching my father dabble in various creative things. One of his sketches was even published as a comic in our local newspaper, which left me with a lasting impression.
Growing up, I often watched him paint for fun. And loved going through the drawings he and my mother created together when they were younger.
Alongside my father, his sister also had a big influence on me. I remember being completely in awe of the fashion design course she took - her sketches, the materials, and the creative process really fascinated me.
The idea of creating something with my own hands always felt magical to me.
Even as a child, I always knew that I didn’t want to follow the typical path of engineering or medicine, which was expected in our society. But it wasn’t until 2019 that I truly discovered what I wanted to do.

In the years leading up to that, I found myself feeling uncertain about my future, and during those stressful times, art became the things that put my mind at ease. I would sketch relentlessly between exam prep to calm my nerves, and it was during this time that I really began to appreciate my inner artist. My school notebooks were filled with colourful diagrams and illustrations, and my teacher even kept them to show younger students because of how visually engaging they were. Art had always been a part of how I learned and expressed myself.
Through these experiences, I realized that my true passion is art, and I knew that creating is what I wanted to do with my life. In 2019, I enrolled in art school, earning my BVA degree, and graduated in June 2023. Since then, I’ve been pursuing my passion full-time as a freelance illustrator.
In December 2023, I was fortunate enough to move into my very own studio, where all the magic happens. From here, I run my online shop of illustrated products, create designs, experiment with different art mediums, and share my creative journey on Instagram and YouTube.
Now, I especially enjoy creating art that evokes a warm, comforting feeling. I love to craft pieces that remind us of the simple joys of everyday life.
My work often features warm colour palettes and whimsical drawings, and what I hope is to bring a smile to people’s faces with each piece I create.
Beyond creating art, I enjoy dancing, crocheting, photography, traveling, exploring cafes, baking, reading and collecting books, thrift shopping, and planning and organizing.
it was lovely meeting you.
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE.
